Ocean inspired

The ocean is a constant source of wonder and inspiration. The sound of the waves; the movement of the water as it crashes toward shore and then gently sweeps across the sand; the gorgeous shades of blues and greens that you just don’t get anywhere else.

It’s a study of contrasts - invigorating and soothing, chaotic strength and also slow and steady. It energizes and it grounds me.

I love painting on Yupo because of the texture and movement it allows me to create. Yupo paper is non-porous, which means everything dries in place on top of the surface rather than soaking in. The end result is a little more unpredictable - which is exactly what I like about it!
